🐾 A Reminder About Dogs in Hot Cars 🐾

Today on Barry Island, South Wales Police Officers and PCSOs rescued two dogs that had been left inside vehicles during the hot weather by irresponsible owners.

Both dogs were removed from the vehicles after concerned members of public made officers aware that they were suffering.

Even on a day that doesn’t feel excessively hot, the temperature inside a parked car can rise rapidly to dangerous levels. Dogs can quickly suffer from heatstroke, which can be life-threatening.

Please remember:

● 🚗 Never leave your dog unattended in a parked vehicle in hot weather, even for a few minutes.

● 🌡️ If it’s too warm for you, it’s too warm for them.

● 📞 If you see a dog showing signs of distress in a hot vehicle, contact 999 if it’s an emergency.
